An iterator protocol-compliant object is an object having a `next` method

As full iterator compliance is impossible to achieve without evaluating an

iterator, this function checks *only* for interface compliance.
|
|
|
|
In environments lacking Symbol.iterator support, this function always

|
returns `false`.
